Craig A. Ball
Veterinarian
Dr. Ball graduated in 1997 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1990 he graduated from Plano East Senior High. Dr. Ball has worked in the veterinary field since he was 15 years old. "I have a true love for all aspects of both large and small animal care. I aspire to meeting the needs of our clientele fully and truly improving the health and well-being of our patients."
Dr. Ball is married to his wife, Ashley and they have a son named Seth Alan. They have three dogs, Aggie - Yellow Lab, Buck - Chocolate Lab, and Charlotte - Australian Shepherd.
Dr. Ball enjoys fishing, bird hunting, riding ATV's and camping.

Michael A. Miller
Veterinarian
Born and raised in Gilmer, Dr. Miller graduated from Union Hill High School in 2000. After high school, Dr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. In 2011, he graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Professionally, Dr. Miller is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Northeast Texas Veterinary Medical Association. In practice, his interests include total animal wellness and dentistry.
Dr. Miller is married to his wife Elizabeth, and together they have two daughters, Caroline and Collynn. They are members of New Beginnings Baptist Church where Dr. Miller serves as a member of the deacon body, and a leader of a mission trip to the Amazon River in Brazil. Away from work the Millers enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling. In 2020 the Millers, along with 3 other families, co-founded Steel Mill Farms providing top quality beef and pork to families across the state. Their country market is located on the square in Gilmer.

Ashley Ball
Office Administrator
Ashley grew up in Keller, TX. where she graduated from Keller High School. She earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Tarrant County College and she also attended Texas A&M University. She has worked in Mortgage/Banking and has been a licensed loan officer. She is the Office Administrator for GAC and handles all the financial aspects of the clinic.
Ashley is married to Dr. Craig Ball and adores her son, Seth. They have three dogs, Aggie - Yellow Lab, Charlotte - Australian Shepherd, and Buck -Chocolate Lab.
Ashley enjoys scrap booking, reading, camping, riding ATV's and riding horses.
Memberships/Associations: Upshur County A&M Club, 12th Man Foundation, former member of 20th Century Club.

Mary Jenkins
Office Manager
Mary has been with the clinic since December of 2004. She graduated high school here in Gilmer, and then received an Associates of Science Degree from North East Texas Community College and a Bachelors of Science in Agronomy from Texas A&M Commerce. She has held a Certified Applicators License in Pest and Termite Control. Mary frequently attends seminars on veterinary medicine and management. And she is a member of the East Texas Manager's Association.
Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is the proud mother of three, Desirae, Allen, and Derek. And the very proud "Nonni" to her granddaughters Myla, Addison, and Faith and grandsons Lane, Cason, Banks, James, Olsen, and Walker! Their family also includes partner Ryan, daughter in laws Jordan and Monze, son in law Xavier, and "grand-dogs", Marshall the wild-n-crazy Doberman, and Brisket and Ellie Mae two Australian Shepherds.
The family enjoys taking trips to visit zoos, museums, and amusement parks. They also enjoy game nights, bowling, putt putt golf, going to the movies and family cook outs.

Annette Bohnert
Kennel Manager
Annette is the kennel manager for Gilmer Animal Clinic. Annette has been with GAC since September 2008. She is responsible for making sure that our boarding facilities are as comfortable and clean as possible for all your pets.
Annette and her fiancee Cam moved to Gilmer from Tracy, California. They have four sons, Nicholas, Jake, Zack, and Derrick .
The family also includes dogs Harley and Hope, as well as seven cats that go by SC, Camo, Loki, SJ, Phanty, Pudge and Willie.
Before coming to Gilmer, Annette had worked for over thirteen years a as veterinary technician and then as a bio-tech animal facility manager for the last fifteen and half years. Her studies certified her as a laboratory animal technician, or "LATg".
Annette enjoys camping, and dog obedience showing Her memberships and associations include NCBAALAS, and the National AALAS

Lindzey Sims
Veterinary Technician, CVA 1
Lindzey became a member of the GAC team in May of 2020. She is a graduate of Hallsville High School, and an experienced veterinary technician since 2012.
Her family includes, husband- Jonathan, son- Gavin, and daughter- Kilie. The family also includes Moose, their Great Dane, and Cocoa a Lab.
Lindzey loves being outdoors. She enjoys camping and hiking, church, and hanging out with her family.
She is a proud board member for the non-profit organization, "Young Hero Warriors", and will be happy to talk to you about how you can help the children and their guardians of fallen soldiers and first responders.

Emily Bible
Veterinary Technician, CVA 1
Emily is a graduate of Union Grove High School, where she attended since Pre-K. Emily came to GAC as a student in Vet Med Science class to earn volunteer/shadowing hours for credit and quickly fell in love with vet med and Gilmer Animal Clinic. The program and her experience here made it possible for her to attain her Certified Veterinary Assistant Level 1. She proved to be compassionate, and hard working- so we made her part of the family as soon as we could. While in high-school, she served as a kennel technician and technician assistant. She is now an incredible asset to our technician team.
Emily enjoys spending time with her sister, brother, nieces, and nephews. She has two dogs, Bella and Tiny. She also spends her time hanging out with friends, hunting, and fishing with her Dad. She especially enjoys working with animals.

Natalie Ferguson
Veterinary Technician
Natalie joined the GAC family in April of 2023. She relocated to Texas from North Carolina in the spring of 2023. Natalie has been in the veterinary field since 2010. She brings a wealth of experience with her as a veterinary technician, customer service representative, research facilitator, kennel management and coordinator, as well as equine, caprine, and canine husbandry. She has also taken classes in animal science at UNCG in Greensboro, NC.
Natalie and her fiancé are loving their new adventure in East Texas and enjoy having their adult children visit. Natalie’s family also consists of her pets Waco, Abilene, and Dallas, all German Shorthair Pointers, Bubba a heeler, and Coal and Jase her Quarter horses.
Natalie enjoys working on her farm, riding horses, dining out and traveling. She is a member of the AKC.

Angela Barncord
Veterinary Technician, CVA III
Angela brings with her over twenty years of experience in veterinary medicine. Her career as a veterinary technician began in 2003 at the Ft. Bliss Veterinary Treatment Facility. She then moved to East Texas, where her skills excelled at Quitman Animal Clinic from 2006 until joining our team in August of 2024. In 2009 she achieved her Veterinary Assistant Level 3 certification, and in 2020, her Rescue CPR certification. Angela is devoted to delivering quality veterinary care and focuses on creating a calm, inviting setting to ease the worries of pets and owners.
Angela was a child of a military family and spent her formative years in Europe and visiting family in Holland. She is a graduate of Grant High School in Grant Parish Louisiana. She has taken courses in veterinary technology at Ashworth College of Norcross Georgia. Angela is a classically trained ballerina and speaks English, Dutch, and German.
Angela married her husband, Dan in 1993. Dan served in the United States Army for over 20 years. His military service took their family back to Europe and Japan. The Barncords are happily settled at Holly Lake Ranch where they raised their daughters, Katerina and Nicolle. The family now proudly includes son-in-law Sam and granddaughters Avery and Adelynn, as well as four wirehaired dachshunds and seven cats. Angela is also very close to her father and brother.
Besides spending quality time with her family, reading is her biggest enjoyment. Amazingly, she finds time to needlepoint, crochet, and knit. Angela finds solitude in dance and loves to travel with her husband, they particularly enjoy cruises.

Emma Warden
Receptionist
We officially welcomed Emma to the GAC family in March of 2026. Emma is a 2022 graduate of Gilmer High School where she was active in the FFA, cross country, and drill team. As of December 2025, she also holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University with a Biomedical science major and History minor. She is currently in the process of applying to colleges of veterinary medicine to earn her DVM license. During high school, Emma shadowed at Gilmer Animal Clinic as a participant in the GHS vet-med program and earned the title of Certified Veterinary Assistant Level I.
She is the daughter of Timothy and Nancy Buettner and sister of Barret and her twin Sarah. Emma enjoys traveling and living a happy life with her Australian Shepherd puppy Milo. Emma grew up surrounded by animals including English Mastiffs, a Dogo Argentino, cows, chickens, and donkeys. She says that she loves all animals, but large breed dogs have a special place in her heart!
Emma has traveled to Ireland, Italy, and Mexico and hopes to put more miles on her passport soon. She loves painting, reading and running. She is a huge F1 fan. She also loves to learn- science, medicine, history – especially imperial studies.
Emma is a member of Aggie Habitat for Humanity and Aggie Classics.

EvaJean Amick
Customer Service Representative
EvaJean joined Gilmer Animal Clinic in July 2025. EvaJean brings with her an extensive background of customer service. She has previously worked as a receptionist at Granbury Animal Clinic and has held management positions at well-known retailers. She is a graduate of Lampasas High School. EvaJean attended Central Texas College in Killeen, TX and has a certificate of photography from Texas A&M University. She is the owner of Wildflower Photography and Mutt Love Ranch.
Currently residing in Big Sandy, EvaJean cares for her mother and nephew. Her family has a strong military and law enforcement background that has molded her work ethic and self-discipline principles. She is a nature photographer that enjoys capturing animals in their natural habitats and finding the scenic beauty in every day. She is also passionate about animal welfare and often supports pet rescue efforts.
In her free time, EvaJean enjoys hiking, fishing, photography, and spending time with her nephew. The family also includes her most beloved dogs, Beau Bear (Great Pyrenees), Luna (Border Collie Mix), and Stetson (Long-haired Miniature Dachshund).

Skyler Evans
Kennel Technician
Skyler began her journey with Gilmer Animal Clinic in August 2025. She is a self-proclaimed "Army Brat", traveling with her military Father throughout her childhood. She was homeschooled from the age of 9 and has plenty of hands-on life experiences including living in Hawaii. Skyler manages a local ranch where she has gained livestock knowledge and oversees caring for the large and small animals there.
Dr. Ball and staff were introduced to her while providing services for the ranch and were impressed by her work ethic, eagerness, and skills. She was also previously working as a ranch hand at Serenity Ranch in Jefferson where she often trained horses and as a front counter employee at Jake's Feed in Longview.
Skyler's family includes her Mom, Dad, two older brothers, and a younger sister. She has horses, dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens. Her favorite things include horse training, riding horses, fishing, and hiking. She also dreams of sunsets in the mountains of Wyoming. She has a calmness that our patients are drawn to and she makes friends with every pet she meets.
